Product Overview
Keeping emergency water in individual packets makes it easier to divide a reserve between kits rather than store everything in one container. Datrex Emergency Water from Rothco comes in a case of 64 compact sachets, each containing 125 ml of purified water. The water is ready to drink, making these packets useful for preparedness supplies at home or as a reserve alongside camping and outdoor equipment.
Small packets for an organized water reserve
Each sachet holds 4.227 fluid ounces, so this is a small-portion water supply rather than a collection of full-size drinking bottles. You can distribute packets among emergency bags or keep the case together in a designated storage area. Across all 64 sachets, the case contains 8 liters of purified water—a useful total to consider when planning how much water to set aside.
The lightweight, compact packaging keeps individual packets manageable when organizing a kit. Durable packaging materials help protect the contents from contamination during storage and transport. For an outdoor trip or airsoft field day, the sachets can serve as a separate emergency reserve alongside your regular drinking-water supply.
Storage space and replacement planning
Datrex Emergency Water has a five-year shelf life measured from the manufacturing date, not the purchase date. Use that date when scheduling replacements for your stored supplies. If you plan to keep the entire case together, check your available shelf space and account for its weight before choosing a storage location.
