Product Overview
A closer look at a distant bird, a hillside, or the action across a sports field starts with the right magnification. Rothco 10 x 50MM Binoculars pair 10X magnification with 50 mm objective lenses, giving you an outdoor viewing tool for observing subjects beyond unaided sight. An included carrying case keeps them together with your gear between outings.
Understanding the 10 x 50 configuration
The first number describes magnification: these binoculars make a subject appear ten times closer than it does to the naked eye. That is useful when you want to examine a bird without approaching it, study distant terrain during a hike, or follow activity from the sidelines. The second number refers to the diameter of the objective lenses—the lenses facing your subject. At 50 mm, they provide a substantial opening for gathering light.
The 5 mm exit pupil describes the diameter of the light beam reaching each eye. Along with the objective lens size, it supports viewing in dimmer surroundings, such as shaded woodland or the changing light around dawn and dusk. Available light still matters, but this configuration is well suited to outdoor observation that extends beyond bright midday conditions.
Viewing position and transport
These binoculars have 12.7 mm of eye relief: the distance between your eyes and the eyepieces at which you can see the full view. Finding that viewing position helps you use the optics comfortably rather than pressing your eyes directly against the lenses.
For camping, bird watching, or trips to outdoor sporting events, the supplied carrying case gives you a dedicated place to store and transport the binoculars. They also make sense for observing an airsoft field from a stationary position when you want a closer look at distant terrain.
