Product Overview
Bulky gear is easier to pack when you can reach it from the side rather than feed everything through one end. The Rothco Canvas Duffle Bag with Side Zipper uses a horizontal, two-way zipper to give you convenient access for loading equipment and finding what you need. It’s a roomy cargo bag for transporting airsoft field gear, camping supplies, or sporting equipment without trying to fit everything into a smaller pack.
Side access that simplifies packing
The side opening is especially useful when loading larger items: you can work the bag around your equipment instead of pushing each piece down through a narrow opening. The two-way zipper also gives you flexibility in where you open the bag. For an airsoft game day, that means easier access to clothing and field accessories; for camping, it makes packing and retrieving bulky supplies less awkward. The heavy-duty zipper suits the bag’s straightforward, outdoor-oriented construction.
Heavyweight cotton canvas
Rothco uses 100% cotton canvas with a substantial fabric weight: 22 oz. for the non-Woodland versions and 18 oz. for Woodland Camo. Canvas provides a rugged outer material for a bag that will be loaded, carried, and moved between storage and your destination. Its natural water resistance is useful around occasional moisture, although it is not a waterproof enclosure.
The carrying points receive extra attention, too. A top grab handle and two side grab handles use box-X stitching, with additional canvas above and beneath the attachment areas. That reinforcement supports the places where a loaded bag puts stress on its handles. Having several grab points also makes it easier to reposition the duffle when loading or unloading.
- End attachment points: Two D-rings with reinforced stitching provide attachment options for a shoulder strap or additional gear.
- Shoulder strap: Not included; add one separately if you prefer shoulder carry.
Choose your size around the bulk of your usual load, not just the number of items you carry. Check the dimensions and capacity of your selected option against your largest pieces of equipment, and leave room for clothing or other softer items you plan to pack alongside them. A larger bag offers more packing space, but a manageable load remains easier to lift and transport.
