Product Overview
Cold hands can make routine equipment handling more awkward, especially when you need a steady grip. Rothco Cold Weather Street Shield Gloves combine Thermoblock insulation with a non-skid palm surface and cut-resistant lining at the fingers and palms. That combination makes them worth considering for cold-weather airsoft outings, outdoor work, commuting, and winter activities where warmth is only part of what you need from your gloves.
Grip and cut resistance at the palm
The outer palm uses synthetic leather with non-skid grip material to help you maintain a secure hold on equipment and other surfaces. For airsoft players, that is a useful feature when carrying a replica or handling field gear; for everyday outdoor use, it serves the same purpose when holding tools or carrying items.
Inside the glove, a cut-resistant lining covers the fingers and palms—the areas commonly involved in grasping and handling objects. This adds protection against sharp objects without treating every part of the glove as having the same construction. If palm and finger protection is a priority alongside cold-weather comfort, this is a distinctive part of the Street Shield design.
Insulation with a flexible hand back
Thermoblock insulation provides warmth for cold-weather use, while the back of the hand combines 1.5mm neoprene with nylon spandex. The flexible back construction accommodates hand movement as you open, close, and reposition your grip. Rather than relying on a single material throughout, these tactical gloves pair a grip-focused palm with a more flexible back.
For customers choosing gloves for winter field days or outdoor tasks, the key considerations here are warmth, grip, and localized cut resistance. The Rothco Cold Weather Street Shield brings those features together in an insulated glove intended for use beyond the airsoft field as well.
