Product Overview
Cold-weather headwear needs to work with the rest of your kit, especially when a helmet is involved. The Rothco ECWCS Full Face Cover and Helmet Liner combines insulating face and neck coverage with a three-panel shape that fits between your head and a military or tactical helmet. It also serves as a standalone winter balaclava, giving you several ways to use the same lightweight layer.
Expedition-weight insulation with flatlock seams
Made from 100% expedition-weight polyester, this reusable face cover provides thermal insulation without being a heavy piece of equipment to carry. Its rugged fabric makes it suitable for repeated winter use, from cold-weather airsoft games to outdoor work and camping.
The three-panel construction shapes the liner around your head, while flatlock seams help keep the joins low-profile. That matters when another piece of headwear sits over the fabric: flatter seams create a smoother buffer beneath a helmet than bulky seam construction would. For an airsoft loadout, consider the added fabric layer when adjusting your helmet fit.
One cover, several cold-weather uses
Alongside its role as a helmet liner, this Rothco face cover can be worn as a hardhat liner, neck gaiter, or winter face mask. That flexibility is useful if your day moves between helmeted activities and time spent outdoors without head protection. The ECWCS designation refers to the Extended Cold Weather Clothing System, developed by the American military in the 1980s.
