Product Overview
Keeping a larger pepper spray canister accessible starts with a holder that suits both the canister and your duty belt. The Rothco Enhanced Large Molded Pepper Spray Holder combines a molded pouch with a hook-and-loop closure that can be opened with one hand. Intended for public safety use, it keeps this piece of equipment at your belt rather than tucked away in a pocket or bag.
Check the canister and belt fit
This holder accommodates large pepper spray canisters, including the Sabre Red Crossfire 3 oz. canister. That specific compatibility is a useful reference when matching the pouch to your equipment. For other canisters, compare their dimensions with the holder’s listed measurements rather than relying on volume alone, since canister shapes can differ.
- Closed dimensions: 7 inches x 2 inches.
- Open dimensions: 6 inches x 2 inches.
- Duty belt compatibility: Fits belts up to 2 1/4 inches wide.
The belt mounting keeps the holder within reach as part of your duty setup. Its hook-and-loop fastening provides a straightforward way to close the pouch and allows one-handed access without removing the holder from your belt.
A structured exterior with a cushioned interior
Rothco uses heavyweight denier ballistic material for the exterior, giving the pouch a substantial outer layer suited to regular duty use. Inside, a high-density foam center adds cushioning, while the soft lining provides a gentler contact surface against the canister. These layers help protect the carried canister from everyday wear rather than leaving it directly against the outer material.
Before choosing this pepper spray holder, check both your canister size and duty belt width. The large-canister format and stated belt compatibility are the key details for deciding how it will fit into your existing public safety equipment.
