Product Overview
A shorter profile for duty-belt carry is the defining feature of the Rothco Expandable Spring Baton. This three-section public safety baton measures 9 inches when collapsed and reaches 23 inches when fully extended, keeping its carried length substantially shorter than its working length.
The baton uses a friction-lock design and extends with a quick wrist movement. Its collapsible construction makes it worth considering for a duty setup where the space occupied by full-length equipment matters. When planning belt placement, use the 9-inch collapsed measurement as your reference rather than the extended length.
Rubber handle and wrist strap
The rubber handle provides an easy-to-grip contact surface, while the wrist strap adds another point of connection between the baton and the user. These are useful details to consider alongside overall length when comparing expandable batons for public safety equipment.
