Product Overview
A cup that packs beneath your canteen gives you a separate drinking and meal-preparation vessel without leaving an awkward extra item to arrange in your gear. The Rothco GI Style Aluminum Canteen Cup holds 24 ounces and is designed to nest under one-quart plastic canteens, making it useful for a compact camping kit or an airsoft field loadout.
Keep your cup and canteen together
The nesting design makes use of the space beneath your canteen rather than requiring you to pack a separate mug elsewhere. It is designed to fit all one-quart plastic canteens, so that is the canteen size and material to look for when pairing it with your equipment. The cup itself holds 24 ounces; the one-quart measurement refers to the compatible canteen, not the cup’s capacity.
A collapsible butterfly handle gives you a grip for holding the cup, then folds away for packing. That keeps the handle from taking up unnecessary room when the cup is stowed and makes the design convenient for gear you unpack during breaks and put away again before moving on.
More than a drinking cup
The aluminum construction suits outdoor use, while the cup’s drinking and cooking functions let one piece of equipment serve several purposes. Use it for a beverage during a trail stop, boiling water at camp, or preparing a meal on an overnight trip. For airsoft players who also camp at events, it adds a food-and-water accessory that can stay with the canteen setup.
