Product Overview

Keeping spare magazines secure does not have to mean covering them between every reload. The Rothco MOLLE Double M16 Mag Pouch with Inserts gives you two ways to carry a pair of standard M16 magazines: close the hook-and-loop flaps over them, or fasten the flaps to the front of the pouch to leave the openings accessible. Internal inserts provide resistance to help retain the magazines while supporting the pouch shape.

Covered carry or open access

The closures give you an additional way to secure your magazines when moving between positions or carrying your gear. Pull tabs make the flaps easier to release when you need a spare magazine, giving you a defined point to grasp rather than having to work at the edge of the hook-and-loop fastening.

For range sessions where repeated reloads are the focus, you can secure the flaps out of the way against the front. That removes the step of opening a cover each time you reach for a magazine. The inserts remain in place to provide retention resistance and help the compartments maintain their form; their role is separate from the outer closures.

Position it on your MOLLE equipment

The MOLLE attachment lets you add the pouch to a MOLLE-equipped vest, belt, or another piece of gear with a MOLLE panel. This gives you flexibility in arranging your spare magazines around the rest of your loadout. For airsoft use, compare your magazines with the stated standard M16 fit and check the mounting space on your equipment before choosing a position.

  • Capacity: Two standard M16 magazines total.
  • Pouch dimensions: 6 inches by 4½ inches.
  • Full MOLLE attachment dimensions: 6 inches by 5½ inches.
  • Drainage: A grommet drain hole at the bottom of each pouch allows water to escape.

When planning your layout, account for the full attachment dimensions as well as the pouch dimensions. Leave enough room above the openings to withdraw a magazine and operate the flaps without interference from nearby gear.
