Product Overview
A survival knife can carry more than a blade. The Rothco Ramster Survival Kit Knife uses a hollow steel handle to keep a compass and fishing hooks within the knife itself, pairing a substantial outdoor cutting tool with a small selection of survival supplies. Its 7 1/2-inch stainless steel blade makes it an option for camping equipment, hunting-trip gear, or a bug out bag.
Survival supplies inside the handle
The hollow handle gives the Ramster its distinctive layout. Rather than keeping every small item loose in your pack, you can carry the included compass and fishing hooks inside the steel handle. That arrangement brings several pieces of outdoor equipment together in one place and gives those small supplies a dedicated storage location.
These items serve different purposes: a compass is a navigation aid, while fishing hooks can form part of a fishing setup. They are useful additions to a broader outdoor kit, so consider the knife alongside the other navigation and fishing equipment you plan to carry.
A sheath with room for maintenance equipment
The included sheath combines nylon and plastic and features pouches and sharpening stones. Along with providing a place to carry the knife, it adds organization for small items and keeps blade-maintenance equipment with the tool. Having sharpening stones in the same setup is convenient when assembling camping gear or preparedness supplies, rather than packing a sharpener separately.
