Product Overview
Keeping cleaning tools for different firearms together makes routine maintenance easier to organize. The Rothco Universal Gun Cleaning Kit brings more than 150 items into one hard plastic case, with an assortment of rods, brushes, mops, and patch attachments intended for pistols, rifles, shotguns, and muzzleloaders. It gives owners of multiple firearm types a shared cleaning setup rather than separate collections of loose tools.
Different tools for each part of the cleaning process
Solid brass rods provide the foundation for bore cleaning, while the selection of bronze brushes and mops gives you different ways to work inside the barrel. Brushes help loosen residue; mops are useful for wiping the bore. Having an assortment lets you select a suitable attachment for the firearm being cleaned instead of relying on a single brush size.
The kit also offers two ways to use cleaning patches: spear-pointed jags and slotted patch loops. Jags hold a patch for passage through the bore, while loops carry a patch threaded through their slot. A separate black powder jag is included for muzzleloader maintenance. When choosing an attachment, match it to your firearm's bore size—the universal assortment is intended for multiple firearm types, not for using every attachment in every barrel.
What's inside the case
- 6 solid brass rods
- 14 bronze brushes and 9 mops
- 12 spear-pointed jags and 1 black powder jag
- 4 slotted patch loops and 100 cleaning patches
- 3 utility brushes: steel, copper, and nylon

Beyond the bore-cleaning attachments, the utility brushes help you address residue in accessible areas that need more focused attention. Their different materials give you a choice of brush for the surface and task. Polishing cloths round out the assortment for wiping and finishing exterior surfaces.
The case keeps the components organized between cleaning sessions and makes the collection easier to carry to a range or another maintenance location. Its shallow, rectangular format also makes the Rothco kit convenient to store on a shelf with your other shooting supplies.
