Keeping everyday essentials organized is easier when your outer layer provides dedicated storage instead of relying on a few general-purpose pockets. The Rothco V2 Concealed Carry Soft Shell Vest combines internal CCW storage with zippered exterior pockets and a three-layer soft shell fabric system. It offers a sleeveless layer for outdoor use, travel, and everyday concealed carry, with a two-way front zipper that lets you adjust access without completely opening the vest.
Separate storage for carry gear and everyday items
Inside, two magazine pockets provide designated space for spare magazines, while two reinforced flap pockets use hook-and-loop closures to secure a firearm and concealed carry equipment. That arrangement helps separate your carry gear from the items you reach for throughout the day.
On the outside, two zippered chest pockets and two zippered side pockets provide room for essentials such as a phone, wallet, and keys. Having several separate compartments lets you organize those items by use rather than putting everything into one pocket. The zippered closures also help keep contents contained while you move.
Three-layer soft shell protection
The vest uses waterproof 100% polyester fabric with Rothco’s three-layer weatherproof soft shell system. Its construction combines wind resistance, heat retention, and moisture release—useful qualities when you want coverage around your torso without adding sleeves. For outdoor errands, walking, or time around camp, this gives you a weather-focused layer that can work with the clothing you already wear.
The front zipper opens from either end. Opening it from the bottom gives you access beneath the vest while leaving the upper section closed, rather than requiring you to unzip the entire front.
