Layered construction with a soft outer cover
This canteen has a plastic/polyethylene inner body and a tinplate outer body, combining a plastic water container with a metal exterior. Around that structure is a soft terylene and acrylic cover, giving the outside a softer feel than exposed metal. The canteen is also BPA-free.
A screw-on cap closes the opening and remains attached to the bottle. That attachment keeps the cap with the canteen while you drink or refill it, so there is no loose lid to set down in the grass or misplace among your camping gear.
