Product Overview
Long stretches outdoors can mean repeated encounters with mosquitoes and other biting insects. Cutter Unscented Backwoods Insect Repellent, offered by Rothco, combines a 23% DEET formula with water resistance and up to 10 hours of mosquito protection. Its unscented formulation makes it worth considering if you prefer an insect repellent without an added fragrance.
For woodland airsoft games, campsite preparation, or time spent on hiking trails, mosquito protection is only part of the picture. This bug spray also repels ticks, biting flies, stable flies, black flies, gnats, and chiggers, covering several of the pests you may encounter as you move between wooded areas and open ground.
Protection for Extended Time Outdoors
The stated protection period of up to 10 hours applies to mosquitoes, including the species that transmits the Zika virus. That duration is useful to consider when choosing a repellent for longer outdoor activities, while the water-resistant formula is another relevant feature for use outside. The product is an insect repellent, not a guarantee against insect-borne illness.
