Product Overview
Keeping your prescription glasses on while wearing protective goggles can make equipment selection much simpler. The Rothco ANSI Ballistic OTG Goggle System is designed to fit over prescription eyewear or sunglasses, with interchangeable lenses that let you adjust your view for different lighting conditions. Supplied with three lenses and its own storage accessories, it gives you a coordinated eyewear kit rather than a single fixed-lens goggle.
Room for Your Glasses, Comfort Around Your Helmet
The over-the-glasses design incorporates 7/8-inch temple cutouts to accommodate the arms of your eyewear. That detail matters when goggles and glasses occupy the same space: the frame needs room around the temples as well as in front of the lenses. When considering fit, keep the shape and dimensions of your own glasses in mind.
Moveable hinges help the goggles sit snugly when worn with a helmet, while foam padding cushions the contact area against your face. For airsoft loadout planning, those features are useful considerations when coordinating your glasses, goggles, and headgear.
Three Lens Choices for Changing Light
You can change the lens to suit the conditions instead of changing the entire goggle system. Each option has a distinct purpose:
- Yellow: Enhances contrast when distinguishing details is your priority.
- Smoke: Provides a tinted option with UV blocking.
- Clear: Offers general eye protection without a colored tint.
The lenses use 2mm-thick polycarbonate and meet the stated ANSI-Z87-1 and MIL-DTL-43511D impact-protection standards. An anti-scratch coating helps resist surface scratching, and UV 400 protection is also included. Top and bottom vents allow airflow through the goggles to help reduce fogging—a useful feature when activity and changing temperatures can make clear vision harder to maintain.
A cleaning cloth and protective cover support routine care between uses. The included MOLLE-compatible, hook-and-loop carry pouch provides a dedicated place to store the system and a way to incorporate it into your equipment setup. If you are choosing these goggles for airsoft, check your field’s eye-protection requirements alongside the listed standards before making your selection.
