Product Overview
Keeping your prescription glasses on should not mean squeezing them into goggles that leave no room for the frames. Rothco OTG Tactical Goggles use an over-the-glasses design with dedicated temple cutouts to accommodate the arms of your glasses. For prescription eyewear users shopping for outdoor or range-day goggles, that frame-friendly shape is the defining feature.
Room for Your Glasses, Adjustment for Your Fit
The temple cutouts provide space where your glasses extend along the sides of your head, helping the goggles sit over them more comfortably. Interior padding cushions the contact area, while the adjustable strap lets you fine-tune how securely the goggles sit. Together, these features help you arrange both layers of eyewear without relying on an overly tight strap.
When checking the fit, consider your prescription frame as well as the strap adjustment. Your glasses should sit naturally underneath, with their arms aligned with the cutouts. Strap adjustability helps with positioning, but the shape of your own frames remains an important part of a comfortable OTG setup.
Clear Lenses with Ventilation Around the Frame
The clear, 2mm-thick lenses have anti-fog and anti-scratch treatments. The anti-fog treatment helps manage condensation, while the anti-scratch treatment helps resist surface wear during use. Vents along the top, sides, and bottom provide routes for airflow, supporting the lens treatment by allowing air to circulate inside the goggles.
- Lens color: Clear.
- Sun protection: UV 400 protection.
- Certification: CE-certified lenses.
For outdoor use, UV protection is a useful feature even with clear lenses. If you are selecting eyewear for an airsoft field or shooting range, check the venue’s required impact-protection rating before purchasing; UV protection and CE certification alone are not a substitute for confirming the required rating.
