The Rothco Drop Leg Utility Rig combines a padded MOLLE platform with three removable pouches, giving you an organized thigh-mounted setup for airsoft loadouts and other tactical equipment arrangements. Use the included utility, radio, and single-magazine pouches together, or remove individual pouches to suit what you need to carry.
Three Pouches with Different Jobs
The utility pouch provides several places to separate smaller items rather than putting everything into one compartment. Its main compartment measures 5.5 inches x 3.75 inches, and the pouch includes a zippered compartment, two external pockets, and an expandable pocket with two dividers. A hook-and-loop flap and side-release buckle secure the expandable section, while a zippered pocket on the flap provides another storage area. That combination is useful for organizing field accessories you want to keep separate and easy to locate.
The radio pouch measures 5â…› inches x 1â…ž inches and uses a side-release buckle closure with an adjustable elastic cord. The separate single-magazine pouch has a hook-and-loop closure. Before choosing this rig for a particular radio or magazine, consider the size and shape of your equipment; these are dedicated pouch types, not a guarantee of fit for every model.
Adjust the Carry Position and Pouch Layout
The 6¼-inch x 12¾-inch platform has MOLLE loops for mounting the removable, MOLLE-compatible pouches. This lets you tailor the arrangement instead of being committed to permanently attached storage. For an airsoft loadout, you might keep the radio pouch installed while removing a pouch you do not need for that day's game.
Both the belt and leg straps are fully adjustable, allowing you to set the rig's position and fit around your clothing. Side-release buckles make the straps straightforward to open and reconnect without undoing their adjustment each time. Padding on the back adds comfort where the platform rests against your leg, particularly useful when carrying several items in one location.
