Keep your magazines and field essentials on your chest without building your loadout around a traditional plate carrier. The Rothco Operators Tactical Chest Rig offers a lighter-weight approach to carrying gear, combining removable rifle magazine pouches with MOLLE attachment space and several built-in storage pockets. For airsoft players, that means a ready-to-configure platform for spare magazines and the smaller items needed during a game.
Start with the included pouches, then arrange your gear
The rig comes with three removable open-top kangaroo double rifle mag pouches. Their open-top layout leaves the pouch openings accessible without a flap to lift, while drain holes give water a way out if it enters. Because the pouches are removable, you can change their placement or remove them as your equipment needs change. Magazines shown in product images are not included.
Four rows of MOLLE webbing provide attachment points for compatible pouches and accessories. This gives you room to organize your chest rig around the gear you actually carry rather than relying entirely on fixed pockets. When planning an airsoft loadout, consider how your pouch arrangement will affect access to magazines and other essentials while moving or kneeling.
Adjustable straps and accessible releases
Fully adjustable shoulder straps accommodate most users and let you refine how the rig sits. Ventilated mesh padding adds cushioning at the shoulders while allowing airflow through the padded areas. The straps also carry three rows of MOLLE webbing and D-rings, providing attachment points for integrating hydration equipment into your setup.
Two swivel push-button release buckles, two side-release buckles, and a quick-release waist cinch strap help with putting the rig on and taking it off. The waist cinch also gives you another adjustment point for securing the load around your torso.
Built-in pockets and material details
Not everything needs its own external pouch. An interior document pocket provides a place for items such as field paperwork, while a separate padded mesh pocket offers additional enclosed storage. Both use hook-and-loop closures. There is also an inner pocket with a hook-and-loop patch intended for attaching a pistol holster.

The material distinction is worth noting when choosing your version: MultiCam uses a different fabric from the other finishes. For loadout planning, the 9-by-6-inch pocket measurement also gives you a useful reference when deciding which smaller essentials to carry inside the rig rather than in an added MOLLE pouch.
