Product Overview
Ankle carry keeps a compact pistol away from the waistline, offering a different placement for a concealed-carry setup. The Rothco Elastic Ankle Holster is intended for subcompact and pocket pistols, with an elastic wrap, sheep wool padding, and a retention strap that holds the firearm in the holster.
The wrap closes with hook-and-loop fastening, allowing you to adjust how snugly it sits around your ankle. Sheep wool padding provides cushioning at the contact area—a useful detail for a holster worn against a part of the body that moves throughout the day. Together, the elastic construction and adjustable closure help you position the holster without relying on a fixed-size fastening.
Separate adjustment and pistol retention
The ankle closure and firearm retention serve different purposes. The main hook-and-loop closure secures the wrap around your ankle, while the webbing retention strap uses its own hook-and-loop fastening to help keep the pistol in place. A 1-inch plastic clip provides an attachment point for a shirt stay, giving you another connection point when arranging your carry setup.

When choosing an ankle holster, consider the size of your pistol as well as the clothing you plan to wear over it. This model is intended for smaller handguns; the listed 14-by-5-inch measurement describes the holster, not a firearm size or an ankle circumference. For discreet carry, your trouser leg also needs enough room to cover the holster and pistol.
