Product Overview
A substantial blanket can earn its place in your camping kit long after the tent is packed away. The Rothco European Surplus Style Wool Blanket pairs a heavyweight wool blend with a striped, Italian Army-inspired design, giving you a warm layer for campsite downtime, outdoor events, and everyday use. Its military styling carries through to a straightforward design that folds down for storage between outings.
Heavyweight warmth with breathable construction
The wool-blend fabric helps retain body heat while remaining breathable, making this blanket useful when you want extra warmth around your shoulders or over your sleeping setup. Its substantial construction suits repeated outdoor use, from an evening at camp to a cool afternoon watching an outdoor concert. The material is also naturally fire-retardant, a useful characteristic in a blanket intended for outdoor and emergency gear.
The European surplus look comes from its Italian Army blanket inspiration and stripe detailing. This is a surplus-style blanket, so the name describes its military-influenced design rather than identifying it as an issued surplus item.
From campsite bedding to a vehicle backup
Keep it with your camping equipment for an additional layer at night, or fold it into your vehicle kit so warmth is close at hand when plans change. It can also serve as an emergency blanket in a survival bag. For airsoft players camping during a weekend event, it belongs with the overnight gear rather than the on-field loadout.
Although the fabric is heavyweight, the blanket folds into a compact form for carrying or storage. Think about where you plan to keep it: a backpack, survival bag, or car each offers a different amount of room for a substantial fabric blanket.
- Heavyweight, breathable wool-blend construction.
- Striped detailing inspired by European military blankets.
- Suitable for camping, tailgating, festivals, and everyday warmth.
Choose your size around its main job. The smaller option fits most cots, while the larger option is better suited to a twin-size bed. That makes sleeping-surface coverage a useful starting point when selecting your blanket.
