Product Overview
A temporary bed does not have to mean a cramped sleeping space. The Rothco G.I. Type Oversized Folding Cot opens to an 80-inch-long, 32-inch-wide surface, giving you room to settle in at a campsite, accommodate an overnight guest, or prepare an extra bed for an emergency. Its folding design lets you put that sleeping space away when it is no longer needed.
Room to rest, support underneath
Heavy-duty aluminum legs and center support bars form the cot’s supporting structure, with a weight capacity of 300 lbs. The center bars provide support through the middle of the bed, while the legs hold the sleeping surface above the ground. At 18.5 inches high when open, this cot offers a raised alternative to bedding laid directly on a tent floor or indoor floor.
The sleeping surface is made from breathable polyester. That breathability is useful during warm-weather camping, particularly on humid nights when airflow through bedding can make a difference to comfort. The generous length and width are also worth considering if you prefer more room when choosing a folding camp bed.
Plan your space before packing
Folded down, the cot measures 8 by 4.5 by 39 inches. Its narrow folded profile makes it easier to store between trips or pack alongside other campsite equipment, although the 39-inch length is worth checking against your available vehicle or storage space. For tent use, compare the full open dimensions with the tent’s floor plan and leave room for your other gear.
