Product Overview
A bag with suitable attachment eyelets can be easier to carry when you add a shoulder strap. Rothco General Purpose Utility Straps provide that carrying option for duffle bags, pouches, and packs, using heavyweight material and metal spring hooks to connect directly to the bag. They’re useful for replacing a strap or adding shoulder carry to gear you normally move by its handles.
A wider strap for carrying your gear
The 2-inch-wide strap gives the load a broader contact area across your shoulder than a narrow strap. That width helps distribute pressure when carrying a packed duffle, while the heavyweight construction is intended to support the weight of most tactical bags. For airsoft players, it offers a way to shoulder a compatible equipment bag while keeping a hand free for other kit on the walk to the staging area.
Metal spring hooks make attachment straightforward: connect them to the bag’s eyelets to create a shoulder-carry setup. The same design can serve a gym duffle, travel bag, or outdoor gear pack, provided the bag has suitable eyelet attachment points.
- Strap width: 2 inches.
- Construction: Durable heavyweight material.

- Intended use: Shoulder carry for compatible duffle bags, pouches, and packs, including Rothco Giant Duffle Bags.
Before choosing your strap, check the bag’s attachment points and consider how low you want it to sit when carried. Select the listed length that suits your bag and preferred carrying position, especially if you’ll be wearing it over bulky clothing or airsoft equipment.
