Product Overview
Getting down behind cover can put your elbows against gravel, uneven ground, or hard debris. Rothco Low-Profile Tactical Elbow Pads place a protective cap and cushioned padding between your elbows and those surfaces, while keeping the design lightweight and flexible for movement. They’re suited to airsoft, paintball, and field activities where you regularly move between standing, crouching, and prone positions.
A Flexible Cap with Cushioned Support
The thermoplastic cap forms the outer protective surface, helping shield your elbows from abrasions and contact with rough terrain. Its low-profile shape keeps bulk down, while the flexible design allows mobility as you bend your arms and reposition. That balance is useful during airsoft games, when elbow protection needs to work alongside frequent changes in stance rather than get in the way.
Behind the cap, dense EVA foam absorbs impacts and provides cushioning when you’re lying prone. Protection isn’t only about a sudden fall: resting your weight on your elbows while watching a position can also become uncomfortable. The foam adds a cushioned layer for that sustained contact, and breathable air-mesh backing allows airflow to help manage heat during active use.
Adjustable Straps for a Close Fit
Two elastic straps with hook-and-loop closures let you adjust how securely the pads sit around your arms. The elastic provides flexibility, while the adjustable closures give you control over the fit. Rothco lists these elbow pads as one size fits most, making the strap adjustment an important part of getting them positioned comfortably for movement.
The heavy-duty nylon outer material is scratch and water resistant for outdoor use. Each flexible cap is reinforced with six exterior rivets, supporting its attachment to the pad as you move and make contact with the ground.
