Product Overview
Kneeling behind cover should not mean putting your knees directly onto stones and rough ground. Rothco Low-Profile Tactical Knee Pads place a flexible thermoplastic cap and dense EVA cushioning between you and the surface beneath you, with a lightweight, close-fitting design that supports mobility. They are useful for airsoft and paintball players who regularly drop into kneeling positions, as well as outdoor tasks and workplace activities that involve time on the ground.
A flexible cap with cushioning underneath
The thermoplastic outer cap helps shield your knees from abrasive terrain, rocks and outdoor debris. Its low-profile shape and flexibility let the pads move with you as you change position rather than relying on a bulky, rigid design. Underneath, dense EVA foam absorbs impacts and cushions your knees when kneeling. These layers serve different purposes: the cap faces the rough surface, while the foam softens the contact against your knee.
Six exterior rivets reinforce each cap, and the heavy-duty nylon outer material resists scratches and water. That water resistance is useful for outdoor wear, but it is not the same as waterproof construction. Against the leg, breathable air-mesh backing allows airflow, helping manage warmth during active use.
Adjustable fastening and quick removal
Two elastic straps secure each pad with hook-and-loop fasteners, allowing you to adjust the fit around your leg. The elastic provides some give as you bend and straighten your knees, while quick-release buckles make removal straightforward when you finish playing or working. The one-size-fits-most design relies on those adjustable straps for fit, so take time to set the tension before heading onto the field.
