Product Overview
A full spool makes sense when cord is something you use regularly, rather than something you only pack for emergencies. The Rothco Nylon Paracord 550lb 1000 Foot Spool provides 1,000 feet of utility cord that you can cut into task-specific lengths for camping, field equipment organization, and outdoor projects. Keep the main supply with your gear and prepare shorter sections for individual packs or kits.
Made from 100% nylon with a seven-strand core, this paracord has a 550 lb test rating and a diameter of 5/32 inch. Its construction makes it useful for everyday cordage tasks such as bundling equipment, replacing cord pulls, and creating tie-downs for lightweight camp items. For airsoft players, it can also serve as utility cord for organizing loose gear or making identifiable pulls for equipment bags.
A bulk supply you can divide to suit the job
The 1,000-foot format is especially useful when you need multiple lengths for different purposes. Instead of committing the entire supply to one kit, you can cut sections for a camping pack, an outdoor work bag, or a field repair pouch while retaining the rest on the spool. It also gives cord-crafting projects a substantial starting supply without requiring you to work from several short pieces.
- Length: 1,000 feet on a spool

- Test rating: 550 lb

When choosing paracord for a particular task, consider both the length needed and how it will be secured. Cutting a little extra leaves room for knots and adjustments. The 550 lb figure is a test rating, not a safe working-load allowance for every setup; knots, wear, and the way a load is applied matter when using cord.
