Product Overview
A campsite without restroom facilities takes a little extra planning. The Rothco Portable Camp Toilet gives you a folding seat-and-frame setup that packs away between stops, making it useful for camping trips, overlanding routes, and outdoor stays where a permanent toilet is not available.
The heavy-duty steel support frame provides the structure beneath a durable molded plastic seat. Rather than relying on a makeshift seating arrangement, you have a dedicated toilet seat supported by a frame rated for users weighing up to 260 pounds. That weight limit is an important consideration when choosing camp equipment for yourself or a group.
Folds away when it’s time to move
Camp equipment needs to work at your destination without taking over your packing space on the way there. This toilet’s foldable design helps reduce the space it occupies during storage and transport. For vehicle-based camping and overlanding, that means you can pack a dedicated toilet setup alongside the rest of your campsite gear, then fold it away before heading to the next stop.
Bag setup and bucket clearance
Rothco includes six plastic commode bags, giving you bags to start with rather than a frame and seat alone. When planning a longer trip or packing for several people, consider how many bags your group will need and arrange for responsible waste disposal.
The assembled frame also provides enough height for a 2-gallon bucket underneath. This clearance is useful if you prefer a bucket-based camp toilet arrangement. Keep the assembled measurements in mind when planning where to place the toilet, particularly within a confined campsite area.
- Approximate assembled dimensions: 11 inches x 12 1/2 inches x 16 inches.
- Under-seat clearance: Tall enough to accommodate a 2-gallon bucket.
- Included supplies: Six plastic commode bags.
