Product Overview
Cold-weather breaks are a good time to give your hands some shelter without putting away your whole loadout. The Rothco Soft Shell Hand Warmer Muffler combines a fleece-lined hand compartment with several ways to wear it, including a hook-and-loop panel for plate carrier attachment. It’s a useful addition for airsoft staging areas, hunting, camping, or watching a game from the sidelines.
Warmth comes from retaining your body heat. Inside, the fleece lining provides a soft surface around your hands, while angled elastic-knit cuffs help close the openings around your wrists and reduce exposure to cold air. The soft shell exterior adds a protective outer layer against cold conditions and everyday wear. Together, these features create a sheltered place for your hands when you’re waiting, resting, or taking a break from tasks that require exposed fingers.
Wear it with your carrier or on its own
The attachment panel lets you integrate the muffler with a plate carrier vest rather than relying solely on a separate carrying strap. Rothco places that panel within the zippered storage pocket, keeping it tucked away when you aren’t using it. For a tactical loadout, this gives you a dedicated hand-warming accessory that can stay with your vest.
If you’re leaving the carrier behind, the adjustable strap offers waist or neck carry. Two side-release buckles let you detach and reconnect the strap, making it straightforward to change how you wear the muffler. Its ergonomic shape accommodates standing, sitting, and moving around—useful when a cold day involves more than staying in one spot.
A separate place for small essentials
An internal storage compartment with a full zipper closure gives small items an enclosed place to ride. Depending on the size of your gear, you can use it for a phone, compact flashlight, small notepad, or writing utensils. The compartment can also hold traditional or electronic hand warmers for additional warmth.
