Product Overview
A digging tool doesn’t have to take up the space of a full-length shovel in your pack. The Rothco Tri-Fold Shovel uses a three-section folding design to keep its packed size manageable, then extends when you need extra reach and leverage. It’s a useful addition to camping equipment, a rucksack, or an outdoor field kit where carrying space matters.
Pack Small, Open Up for Digging
The folding format makes this camp shovel easier to transport between jobs without giving up the longer handle available when it’s opened. That extended length provides leverage as you work the digging surface into the ground. Before packing, compare the folded length and width with the space in your backpack, particularly if you’re carrying it alongside shelter, food, and other field equipment.
- Extended length: 24 inches.
- Folded length: 9 inches.
- Width: 5.5 inches.
- Configuration: Three-section folding design.
For Campsite and Field Tasks
Use the Rothco Tri-Fold Shovel for jobs such as digging a campfire pit, making a cat hole, clearing snow, or carrying out small trenching tasks. Its sturdy construction suits the hands-on work involved in setting up and maintaining an outdoor camp. For airsoft players who also camp during field weekends, its value is as a campsite tool rather than another piece of on-field loadout equipment.
The compact format is especially helpful when you want a shovel available but don’t want to carry a full-length tool throughout a hike or between campsites. Choose the with-cover or without-cover configuration according to your packing needs; a cover is not included with every option. Check your selection before ordering so the configuration matches the way you plan to carry it.
