Product Overview
A backup power source is useful when your phone needs charging and the nearest outlet is back at home. The Rothco Waterproof Solar Power Bank combines a rechargeable battery with a built-in solar panel, giving you both cable charging and a sunlight-based way to replenish stored energy. Its waterproof ABS plastic body makes it well suited to carrying with your outdoor gear for camping trips, hikes, or a day at the airsoft field.
Stored power with a solar charging option
Inside is a 3.7V, 5000mAh lithium polymer battery, with dual USB outputs for connecting USB-powered electronics. Two output ports give you more connection options without relying on a single socket. When choosing charging cables for your equipment, make sure the device end matches what you intend to carry; the included micro USB cable is supplied for charging the power bank.
The monocrystalline solar panel provides another way to recharge when sunlight is available. With a rated output of 1.2W, it is best treated as a supplementary charging source rather than a substitute for charging the bank by cable before leaving. Solar charging depends on available sunlight, so planning ahead is especially useful for longer outings or trips where your phone is an important part of your navigation and communication setup.
Easy to carry with your field kit
The included carabiner lets you attach the power bank to a backpack or bag instead of leaving it loose among your equipment. That keeps it accessible when you stop to connect a device or position the panel in sunlight. The waterproof housing adds a useful outdoor-focused feature for gear that may encounter wet weather.
