Product Overview
Adding natural camouflage to a helmet does not have to mean permanently attaching it. The Rothco G.I. Type Cats Eye Helmet Bands provide a stretchable way to hold branches and other natural materials in place, while reflective luminous tabs add a visibility aid for low-light conditions. Those two functions make this helmet accessory useful for airsoft loadouts and other outdoor tactical applications.
The band is made from elastic spun nylon. Its stretch allows it to sit around a helmet and retain camouflage material beneath it. For woodland airsoft games, that gives you a way to add vegetation to your helmet rather than relying on its base color alone. The elastic construction also lets you remove or change those materials as your surroundings change.
Camouflage retention and low-light visibility
The cats eye tabs serve a different purpose from the camouflage: they help make the wearer easier to spot in dim conditions. That is worth considering when planning your loadout, since increased visibility and concealment serve different needs. Choose how you use the band according to the activity and the conditions on the field, rather than treating its luminous details as a camouflage feature.
