Product Overview
A cooking pan and a plate cover two basic campsite needs without requiring a bulky cookware collection. The Rothco GI Style Aluminum Mess Kit brings them together in a compact format that fits easily into a camping backpack or tactical bag, leaving room for the rest of your outdoor supplies.
Lightweight aluminum keeps the kit easy to carry while providing durable construction for outdoor use. For hikers carrying their own equipment or campers keeping their packing list manageable, that combination matters: you have dedicated cookware and a place to serve your meal without adding unnecessary bulk to your setup.
From Meal Preparation to Serving
The pan-and-plate combination gives you separate pieces for preparing food and eating it. Use the pan for cooking, then transfer your meal to the plate when it is time to eat. It is a straightforward arrangement for campsite meals, particularly if you prefer a small, uncomplicated cooking setup over a larger collection of pots and dishes.
- Construction: Lightweight, durable aluminum.
- Kit contents: Pan and plate combination.
- Packability: Compact design for storage in camping backpacks and tactical bags.
This mess kit also has a place in a bug out bag or an emergency supplies collection, where keeping cooking and eating equipment together makes packing more organized. When planning your load, treat it as the cookware and plate portion of your meal setup, and pack your food, eating utensils, and other cooking supplies alongside it.
