A larger field loadout needs more than a roomy compartment—it needs a way to separate equipment, carry bulky items, and adjust the fit around the person wearing it. The Rothco Global Assault Pack combines substantial internal storage with removable side pouches, extensive MOLLE webbing, and shoulder straps with 11 height settings. It is a tactical backpack for organizing airsoft field supplies, camping equipment, or gear for longer outdoor outings.
Adjust the Carrying Setup to Your Load
The shoulder-strap height adjustment gives you more control over where the pack sits on your back, rather than relying only on tightening or loosening the straps. An adjustable sternum strap helps keep the shoulder straps positioned across your chest, while the padded mesh back provides cushioning with a breathable surface against your body.
A removable plastic frame adds structure to the pack. The removable kidney pad includes a quick-release strap, giving you another point of adjustment around the lower back. Together, these features let you configure the carrying setup to suit your fit and the equipment you are transporting. MOLLE webbing on the shoulder straps and additional D-rings also provide attachment points beyond the main body of the bag.
Keep Smaller Equipment Separate from the Main Load
The extra-large zippered main compartment is hydration-bladder compatible and contains two internal zippered pockets. That layout lets you separate smaller supplies from clothing, food, and other bulkier contents, so retrieving one item does not require searching through the entire load.
An interior open-top pocket has three quick-release cinch straps to help retain its contents while still allowing access without opening another zipper. The front zippered pocket offers a separate area for frequently needed supplies, with an internal zippered mesh pocket for smaller pieces. An inner loop patch provides an attachment surface within that front compartment.
For airsoft use, this arrangement is useful for separating field essentials from spare clothing and food. For hiking or camping, the same pockets help keep compact equipment organized instead of letting it settle among the larger items.
Removable Pouches and External Carry Options
Two removable zippered side pouches add storage outside the main compartment. They attach using MOLLE straps and quick-release cinch straps, allowing you to retain the extra organization or remove the pouches when your packing needs change. Around the pack, 18 rows of MOLLE webbing provide room to mount additional compatible pouches and accessories.
Two bottom straps give rolled blankets, sleeping pads, and similar bulky items a place outside the bag, preserving internal space for other equipment. A top carry handle makes the pack easier to lift and reposition, while a top quick-release cinch strap helps secure the load. The exterior loop field provides a place for identification or morale patches.
