Product Overview
A machete needs a place to go when it is not in use. The Rothco 18 Inch Canvas Machete Sheath covers the blade in durable canvas and adds a belt loop for carrying it at your waist. It is a straightforward accessory for keeping a machete covered between tasks without having to hold the sheath in your hand.
The canvas body provides full blade coverage, rather than leaving part of the blade exposed. Rivets along the edge reinforce the sheath, adding support to its construction. Those details are useful for an accessory that accompanies a cutting tool through repeated carrying, storage, and use outdoors.
The belt loop gives you a waist-mounted carrying option and keeps the machete accessible when needed. For camping or other outdoor activities where a machete is part of your equipment, that arrangement leaves your hands free for other gear while the blade remains covered.
Consider fit before purchasing: this is Rothco's 18-inch machete sheath model. Match the sheath to your particular machete, taking blade length and shape into account rather than assuming every machete will fit the same way.
