Product Overview
For outdoor tasks that call for a machete rather than a small utility knife, the Rothco Bush Pro Steel Machete with Sheath offers an 18-inch format with a carbon steel blade and a durable plastic handle. It belongs with your outdoor cutting equipment for work such as clearing brush or managing vegetation around a campsite.
The blade is made from S45C carbon steel and has a black-coated finish. Carbon steel cutting tools generally benefit from being cleaned and dried after use, so routine care is worth considering if your equipment regularly encounters damp vegetation or wet conditions. The plastic handle provides a straightforward grip without adding a separate handle material to maintain.
A sheath is included, giving the blade a covering when the machete is put away. When choosing where to carry or store it, account for its 18-inch size: this is a larger outdoor cutting tool, not a compact pocket knife.
