Product Overview
A machete needs a place to ride between cutting tasks, especially when you’re moving through camp or carrying other equipment. The Rothco G.I. Type Plastic Machete Sheath combines a rigid blade cover with a pistol belt clip and a built-in sharpener, giving you a carrying solution that also helps with edge maintenance outdoors.
Hard-Shell Coverage for an 18-Inch Machete
Made from tough hard-shell plastic, this sheath fits standard 18-inch machetes. Its rigid construction covers the blade while it’s being carried or stored, keeping the cutting edge separated from surrounding gear. For customers putting together camping equipment or replacing an existing sheath, the standard 18-inch fit is the key detail to check against their machete before ordering.
Carry It Where You Can Reach It
The pistol belt clip lets you attach the sheath to a belt or bag rather than packing your machete loose among other supplies. Belt attachment keeps it close at hand between tasks, while bag attachment offers another way to organize your outdoor equipment. Choose an attachment position that suits how you carry the rest of your kit.
A built-in sharpener adds a useful maintenance feature directly to the sheath. When the edge needs attention during an outdoor trip, you have a sharpening tool with the machete’s carrying gear instead of having to retrieve a separate one. That combination makes this Rothco machete sheath useful for camping, outdoor work, and trips where a machete is part of your equipment.
