Product Overview
Insect netting is easier to wear when it stays clear of your face. The Rothco GI Type Mosquito Head Net uses a hoop ring to hold its mesh drape away from your skin, providing space around your face while creating a barrier against mosquitoes and other insects. Its military-style design combines coverage for the face and neck with a solid cotton top.
The mesh extends around the face and down over the neck, covering areas that can otherwise remain exposed above a shirt collar. For hiking, camping, or time spent in the woods, that coverage is useful when insects are a persistent distraction. It can also serve as an outdoor accessory during breaks or time at an airsoft staging area.
A hoop-supported drape with a tied lower opening
The hoop ring gives the netting structure rather than leaving it to hang directly against your face. This separation is central to the design: it helps maintain the protective barrier while making the drape more comfortable to wear. Above the mesh, a solid cotton panel covers the top of the head.
A tie at the bottom lets you secure the lower opening, helping limit gaps where insects could enter beneath the mesh. When putting the head net on, arrange the drape to cover both your face and neck, then secure the bottom tie. The lower closure and face-spacing ring work together to keep the net positioned where it is useful during insect-heavy outdoor trips.
